I have experience with dogs, cats and horses. Some common diseases or problems that chiropractic
adjustments are able to
help are:
Back pain Decreased ability to exercise due
to pain Decreased ability to jump
Back pain Fear
or aggression due to pain symptoms include skin twitching over
the back, doesn’t allow back to be touched, decreased ability to
jump or play
Lack of collection Inability to take a
lead or hold it Twitches when brushed Painful or cranky when
saddled
These are just a few of the signs and symptoms that
chiropractic manipulation can affect.
Veterinary chiropractic is the art of keeping the joints
of the spine and limbs moving with their proper orientation. I work on
one vertebrae at a time, which is how I am able to perform chiropractic
manipulations on an animal as large as a horse.
Many animals after an injury to their legs can
benefit from a chiropractic adjustment. Think about when you have
injured an ankle or knee. You limp, this puts extra stress on the other
leg, then your back starts to hurt due to unequal leg movement.
Chiropractic adjustments help the vertebrae to move again when “stuck”
or to move in the proper direction. This is helpful after the limping
has stopped or with chronic lameness due to decreasing the secondary
back pain.
I am certified by the International Veterinary
Chiropractic Association, to visit their website go to www.ivca.de/eng. I studied with Options for Animals in 2007,
participating in their 210 hour course. To learn more about my training, please visit www.animalchiro.com. To remain certified, I go to
continuing education courses on a yearly basis.
