As I work with various forms of medical treatments here are some links for further information on those subjects and the organizations that teach and certify veterinarians.
Options for Animals College of Animal Chiropractic is where I learned chiropractic manipulation. To learn more, please visit their website at: www.animalchiro.com.
I am certified through the International Veterinary Chiropractic Association. For more information, see www.ivca.de/eng.
I was trained in classical veterinary homeopathy by Dr. Richard Pitcairn. To learn more about Dr. Pitcairn and homeopathy, please visit www.drpitcairn.com.
Another source of information about homeopathy is the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. Their website is www.theavh.org.
There are many websites with information about pet loss, grief and the human/animal bond. A good place to start is the Human/Animal Bond Trust located at www.humananimalbondtrust.org.
Another website with assistance in making decisions and options available include the In Home Pet Euthanasia Directory at www.inhomepeteuthanasia.com.
I have worked with animal rescue groups since before I was a veterinarian. As we have an overpopulation problem with our companion animals, I believe in adoption. Please consider a new friend from one of the many organizations listed at Petfinder’s website www.petfinder.com.
I’ve had an interest in Mongolia for years and in March of 2010 was able to travel there. I will be returning for the month of June 2011 to assist the nomadic herders of the Gobi-Altai region with veterinary care. I’ve found a non-profit group called World Vets to help my fulfill me goal of helping the Mongolian people and their animals. Please help us to help those without the resources we are lucky enough to have. For more information go to www.worldvets.org.
